A contact form is one of the simplest and most useful things you can add to your site. It lets visitors send you a message without needing to know your email address, and every message they send lands in one place — your inbox — so nothing gets lost.
Two ways to add the form
You can include a contact form in two ways, depending on where you are in your journey:
- As a design preference before you generate. When you set up a new site, the contact form is one of the optional feature toggles you can turn on, alongside image placeholders and a Google Map. If you enable it, the AI builds the form into your site during generation.
- As a plugin afterwards. If your site is already live without a form, you can add the contact form / inbox as a plugin from your site's settings, so you do not have to regenerate the whole website.
Enabling the form as a plugin
To add it to an existing site:
- Open your dashboard and select the site you want to update.
- Find the plugins or features area for that site.
- Choose the contact form / inbox plugin and enable it.
- Save your changes so the form appears on your live site.
Where submissions land
When a visitor fills in the form and submits it, the message is saved to your inbox rather than being emailed off into the void. The inbox keeps a record of every enquiry in one place, so you can come back to it whenever you like and never miss a lead.
Managing your entries
From the inbox you can work through submissions in an organized way:
- Open any message to read the full details the visitor sent.
- Review enquiries in order so you can reply to the most recent ones first.
- Keep the inbox as your single source of truth for who has contacted you and what they asked.
Getting the most from it
Check your inbox regularly so visitors get a timely reply — fast responses make a strong impression. If you expect a lot of enquiries, the contact form pairs well with other plugins from our overview of plugins, such as a newsletter signup to keep in touch with people who reach out.
If the form is not appearing on your site, or submissions are not showing up in your inbox, open a ticket from your support page and we will help you track down the problem.
