Deleting a website is one of the few actions that can't be undone once it has finished — so A3 iFrame deliberately doesn't finish it straight away. A deleted site goes into a holding period first, giving you time to change your mind.
What happens when you delete
When you delete a site, it stops being publicly available and moves out of your active sites list into Deleted Sites. It is scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later. Until that date arrives, the site and its content still exist and can be brought back.
Restoring within the 30 days
Open Deleted Sites from the sites area of your dashboard. Each entry shows its status, when deletion was requested and by whom, and the date it's scheduled to be permanently removed — so you always know how long you have. Restore it from there and it returns to your active sites. Publish it again to put it back online.
After the 30 days
Once the scheduled date passes, the site is permanently deleted along with its content, and it cannot be recovered. If a site matters to you, restore it well before the deadline rather than on the last day.
Site slots and your plan
Your plan sets how many websites you can have: 1 on Free, 3 on Starter, 10 on Growth, 3 on Ecommerce, and 25 on Business Pro, with each Extra Sites Pack add-on adding one more. If you need room for another site, see plans and what's included and add-ons explained.
Suspended sites
You may occasionally see a site marked suspended. That's an administrative action rather than something you did, and the site isn't publicly available while it lasts. If one of your sites is suspended and you don't know why, open a ticket from support and we'll explain.
Before you delete
If you only want a site off the internet for a while, you don't have to delete it — maintenance mode takes it out of public view and back again with nothing at stake.
