If your current website runs on WordPress, you can bring its content into A3 iFrame without retyping it. On the step where you add your content, choose Import from WordPress, enter your site's address, and A3 iFrame reads your public pages, posts, images and — if you run WooCommerce — your products. You see everything before anything is built.
This is different from importing content from an existing website, which reads the text of any site. Import from WordPress understands WordPress itself: your page structure, your menu, your images and your design.
Before you start: prove the domain is yours
We only read sites you've shown you own. If your domain isn't verified yet, the import shows you how — add a DNS record, or upload a small file to your site. It's the same check as importing from a URL, so a domain you've already verified works straight away.
Sites on a wordpress.com address can't be verified this way. Connect your own domain to that site first.
What happens
- We read your site. This usually takes a minute or two, and up to 10 minutes for a large site. You can stop it at any time; a stopped import isn't charged.
- You review what was found. Pages, posts, images and products are listed, each with a tick box. Choose which page is your home page, which pages become their own pages (up to 5), which are merged into another page, and which to leave out. Choose up to 12 posts for a Latest articles section.
- You choose a look. Match my current look keeps your logo, colours and fonts (or the closest fonts we offer — the review names any substitution). Fresh design lets the AI design something new around your content.
- You confirm, then generate. Your new site is built from your real content and your own images.
What it costs
An import costs 200 credits, charged once — only when your site has been read and is ready to review. If the import can't run (the domain isn't verified, the site isn't WordPress, or it's stopped early), nothing is charged. Generating the site afterwards is charged as usual.
What doesn't come across
The review always shows a Not carried over list, so nothing disappears silently. It includes:
- Your theme's code. The new site is newly built; with Match my current look it looks similar, not identical.
- Plugin features such as memberships, courses or bookings. Where A3 iFrame has an equivalent plugin, the review suggests it.
- Users, comments, customers and orders.
- Per-page SEO settings.
- Old links. Your old page addresses will not redirect to the new site.
- Posts beyond the 12 you choose, and anything you leave out yourself.
If the import can't read your site
- "This WordPress site has its public API turned off." A security plugin often does this. Allow the WordPress REST API for public content, or use import from an existing website for the text.
- "We couldn't reach your site." Some hosts block automated readers. Allow the
A3iFrameImportBotuser agent, or try again later. - "That address doesn't look like a WordPress site." Use import from an existing website instead.
Importing the same site again later? If its content changed, you can update your earlier import or keep both. Still stuck? Open a ticket from support.
