Generating a website is heavy work — the AI reads your content, designs a blueprint, and writes the code. To keep quality high and every run fast, only a limited number of generations happen at the same time. When they're all busy, your site waits in a queue instead of failing.
What you'll see
If your generation has to wait, that step shows as queued rather than running, with a message along the lines of “Your site is #3 in line and starts automatically.” The number is your place in the queue, and it counts down as the sites ahead of you finish. There's also a short countdown to the next automatic check. Nothing needs clicking — when a slot frees up, your site starts on its own.
Can I close the tab?
Yes. Your place in line is held on our side, not in your browser, so closing the tab or navigating away won't lose it. When you come back to the site you'll see whatever state it reached. Leaving the page open simply lets you watch progress live.
How long is the wait?
Most waits are short. Queues form in bursts — several people generating at once — and clear as those runs complete. A generation itself usually takes a few minutes, so a position like #3 typically means minutes rather than hours.
Queued is not failed
This is the important part: a queued site is healthy and scheduled. It isn't an error, and there's nothing to retry. Starting again would only add another job to the same queue. Waiting isn't generating

While you wait
It's a good moment to get the rest ready: decide on your design preferences for the next round, set your brand name, logo, and favicon, or plan the navigation menu you want.
