Every A3 iFrame plan includes a number of regenerations each month. Understanding what uses one — and what doesn't — helps you make the most of your allowance. This article explains regenerations, the per-plan limits, the monthly reset, and how to add more.
What is a regeneration?
A regeneration is when you ask the AI to build a brand-new design for a site. It runs the full generation pipeline again: reading your document, designing a fresh creative blueprint, and writing new Next.js code. Every regeneration produces a unique design, so it's the tool to reach for when you want a different look rather than a small tweak.
What counts and what doesn't
Each regeneration counts as one against your monthly limit. The following do not use a regeneration:
- Editing your site's text and images in the content editor.
- Managing your navigation menu.
- Using AI writing assistance to draft or improve copy.
- Setting per-page titles, meta descriptions, and social previews.
In short, day-to-day edits are free. Only a full rebuild for a new design draws from your allowance, so you can refine a generated site as much as you like without spending one.
Monthly limits by plan
Your regeneration allowance depends on your plan:
- Free: 3 regenerations per month.
- Starter: 10 regenerations per month.
- Growth: 50 regenerations per month.
- Business Pro: 200 regenerations per month.

When limits reset
Regeneration limits reset monthly. Unused regenerations don't roll over, so there's no penalty for experimenting up to your limit each month. If you regenerate often, spreading rebuilds across the month helps you stay within the allowance.
Need more regenerations?
If you're hitting your limit, the AI Regeneration Boost add-on adds 50 regenerations per month for $10/mo, stacking on top of your plan's allowance. It's a quick way to get more room without moving to a bigger plan. Learn more in add-ons explained.
A tip before you regenerate
Because regeneration creates an entirely new design, it's worth setting your design preferences first — layout, colors, font, and a short design instruction — so the new build reflects what you want. If you only need to change wording or swap an image, use the content editor instead and save your regenerations for true redesigns. It also helps to upload a focused source document — a clear name or business name, an About section, your services, and contact details — so the AI has good material to work from on each rebuild.
If your usage doesn't look right, or a regeneration didn't seem to count correctly, open a ticket from your dashboard and we'll check it.
