If people find you on social media as well as on the web, linking the two is worth doing. Your site's content settings include a social section that puts your profiles on the site as icons.
Turning it on
Open your site's content settings from your dashboard and find the social section. Switch on Show social icons on this site, then add the platforms you're on.
Links we already found
If your source document or imported content mentioned your profiles, they're offered to you under Found in your site content — add them with one click instead of retyping. It's worth checking this list first, because it usually has most of what you need.
Adding platforms yourself
Pick a platform and paste your profile address. For anything not on the list, use the Custom link option and supply your own icon. A square PNG with a transparent background looks best; without an icon, a globe is shown instead.
How they look
You can keep the AI-generated styling so the icons match the rest of your design, and optionally show platform names next to them. Names help when your audience is less comfortable with icon-only navigation; icons alone are tidier.
A few good habits
- Link profiles you actually keep up. A dormant account can undercut you more than no link at all.
- Check every link once it's live. Paste the full profile address and click through.
- Don't add everything. Three or four active profiles read better than ten neglected ones.
Publish your site after making changes so visitors see them. If icons aren't appearing, see my site isn't showing my content.
